Review of Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap

Saw this visual treat called Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap. This movie belongs out and out to none other than our very own Sexy Bbuddah Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Time and again it has been proved that yes, Mr. Bachchan can carry the entire movie on his own old but still not weakened shoulders.

'What energy man!' this is what you will notice people exclaiming at the exits. BHTB is a pure masala movie made by a BigB fan for BigB fans. And guess what, its really good as compared to the other release of the week Delhi Belly. BHTB is a clean entertainer.

A simple story with a bit of twist tadka. A legend/institution in himself- BigB. Humour. Action. Romance. Drama. Emotion. Tragedy. Awesome music. A comic villian. Well these ingredients are enough to deliver a good hit at the BO.

Some may feel that they are watching a typical South Indian Masala flick. And they are right too. This is so because the Director Puri Jagannadh is from south. Even the action sequences and the background music for them seems to be having Sambhar touch [no pun intended!].

Well for the times BigB is there on screen, his aura is so over-powering that you don't tend to take your eyes off this legend even though there are 100 other sexy chicks by his side. And this is something which will make every Guy out there jealous as these babes are shaking their legs with 68year old BigB and not with them! Well as they say "Being a subject of jealousy is the indication of failure in life but being an object of jealousy is the sign of success in life". This fits exactly true for Mr. Bachchan.

BigB's acting is something beyond review these days. He is truly BAAP OF ALL as far as acting is concerned. And this is something that even his peers would agree to. His singing is getting more and more sharper with every song. His rendition of 'Haal-e-dil' is really soothing and heart-touching. After Aadesh Shrivastav, the duo of Vishal-Shekhar made full use of BigB's music sense. So kudos to them as well. Anvita Dutt Guptan too needs a thumbs up for her poems.

Sonu Sood is here for a long run. Watch out for him people as its not easy to look into the eyes of a Legend and acting superbly with him being in the same frame. Sonal Chauhan has capabilities of being a good actress. It never appeared that she is just one film old. Don't know why she was out of the screen space for three years. She is pretty, her acting is good, her dialogue delivery is also quite good as compared to her contemporaries, still why she was out is something which takes me to point at the lobby-ism in the industry. I won't get into it here.

Raveena Tandon made a brief appearance in a comic role. It was okayish. Hema Malini ji and BigB's chemistry works wonders. Hema ji still looks so pretty. But the real star as far as females are concerned is this new actress in the circuit called Charrme Kaur. She is too cute. Felt like squeezing her golu-molu cheeks as BigB did. Her comic timing was awesome as well.

Overall it's a must watch for true Bachchan Bhaiya's fans. Enjoy with your family. It makes for a great weekend plan.
On the whole- 3.5*/5*
